Professional history: Aberdeen Angus Journal

Aberdeen Angus Journal is one of the more than one thousand rural electric cooperatives across the country, which serve the electric utility needs of rural America.

Editor — Miki Tolle was originally employed as the assistant editor of the publication; but was later promoted to editor. Tolle's tasks included assisting with all of the activities involved with producing an entirely in-house magazine. The writing, editing, proofreading, headline setting, typesetting, layout, design, advertising, negatives, stripping, printing, assembly, binding, labeling, and eventually mailing of the magazine started and was completed in one building with several crews and groups of people. As editor, Tolle assumed the overall direct responsibilities for which she had originally assisted. Miki Tolle also wrote, interviewed, and produced several byline articles for the magazine. She attended several industry tradeshows, which included the National Western Stock show in Denver, CO, where the journal was the official show publication for the industry. As editor, Tolle managed the entire production staff of approximately ten people.
